Maintenance Fitter

Hours: Full time, 07:00 - 17:30
Hourly Pay / Salary: Competitive

Mid UK Recycling require time served Maintenance Fitters, to carry out planned and reactive maintenance activities on a range of equipment utilised within the recycling industry.

You will require:

  • Experience in the maintenance and repair of heavy static and mobile plant.
  • Good working knowledge of mechanical bulk handling, sizing and grading equipment.
  • Familiar with Hydraulic and pneumatic systems including pumps, rams and control valves.
  • Basic fault finding on hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Need H & S awareness.

Trained and competent in the use of fork lift trucks and mobile access equipment would be an advantage.

You would be working within a small team and would be expected to work on own initiative.

Applicants must be enthusiastic and self-motivated.  The right candidate will ideally have previous experience of mechanical fitting in industrial complexes, waste management, scrap metal processing or other heavy continuous environments.
