“I joined Mid-UK as an Administrator at the Caythorpe site. After only a few weeks I was fast-tracked on to a Graduate Trainee Accountant scheme in the finance department. The company have supported me though my accountancy qualifications AAT Levels 2, 3 and 4 and I am currently working towards becoming a Chartered Accountant.

“I started working at Mid-UK in April 2015 as a Line Operative at the Caythorpe site, sorting skip waste. From here I quickly progressed to Plant Operator, then Mobile Plant Operator, then became a Trainee Supervisor in the C & I and C & D processing unit. In early 2017 I was promoted to Supervisor of the wood processing operation at Caythorpe.
Whilst working in these roles I gained valuable operational experience and knowledge of the business and in 2018 I was given the opportunity to train as a Health and Safety Advisor. I have attained various qualifications including IOSH, NEBOSH, WAMITAB Level 4, and a Higher Level Apprenticeship in Sustainable Resource Operations and Management in the Energy, Utility and Environmental Sector.
Every day is different and often challenging, but I enjoy the challenge! I feel as though working at Mid-UK is a career, not just a job. The waste sector is an exciting industry to work in!”
